Hi Folks

I have trouble making my satnav stick on the mat which I place on the dashboard of my car.

Although it does stay on for a bit, but it comes off after I've been driving for a while, which is very annoying.

Can you give any ideas as to how I can solve this problem?

Thanks

Spleen

Think outside the box. Suspend it from your rear view mirror (but don’t forget to remove it when you leave the car - pesky thieves - or for your MOT - pesky testers).

Teach it a lesson by setting a destination and then ignoring it.

You have to lick it. Or lick the dashboard.

www.brodit.co.uk for mounts specific to the car. There products tend to be rock solid.

But then you get the sigh and 'recalculating route.....again'

We got something like this with a hire car in california many years back when phone satnav wasn't a thing. CA law (or nevada?) meant you couldn't stick anything to the windscreen. So phone and satnav holders had to be dash mounted.

I was surprised it didn't move/slide for the whole trip.

I've also used sugru to stick phone holders to the dash. Might not come off clean though.

The discs supplied with these were worse than useless. I never managed to fix one on, and finished up with the device resting in the central tray in the console.
