Anyone used Rotalla RA03 Tyres?
Discussion
Lots of very helpful posters on my 'What all seasons tyre?' thread recommended Michelin XClimate 2.
Just popped into the local tyre fitter who said they would do them, no problem, but suggested I consider the Rotalla RA03 as a cheaper alternative.
Does anyone on here have any experience of this tyre (I've never heard of the firm). Online reviews are a bit mixed.

Let's face reality, there will be no comparison with the Michelin.
However, I did buy Rotalla R03 for my small van. But the only reason I did, was because nobody else made an all season in the size/loading I needed.
Review is short. The tyres are black, round. They allow the van to drive.
Never really had much adverse weather yet to be driving in to make an assessment. But they don't feel just as nice as the old tyres did ( Mohawk, 205/50/16 ), which I've used for some 600k+ on the van. Obviously not same set.
It's a review, but a pretty s
t one lol....wow, it was over a year ago I bought them !! But really don't drive the van much anymore so only a few hundred miles.
I simply did not have the choice of buying anything else in all season, I had wanted the CC2 though.

They can get the Michelins and the Rotellas in at a day's notice.
I've read the online reviews.
Anyone with any personal experience of these tyres?
Ta.

There’s loads of people with personal experience of those tyres; right there in the tyre reviews shown above.I've read the online reviews.

At the end of the day they’re just people on the internet giving their point of view, which is the same thing you’re asking for on here.
The difference being those people are experts who have specifically set out to give educated opinions along with objective results.
People on here are far less likely to give you the info you need, rather than want.

Yes, that's the problem. There's mixed reviews from people who've actually bought them.At the end of the day they’re just people on the internet giving their point of view, which is the same thing you’re asking for on here.

Miss Daisy's driver never goes out in the wet and never goes over 20 mph will think they are fine.
Professional driver in M4 will think they are terrible.
Who would you trust?

Wider than the rest of the internet?
No sorry, I can see how my post was misleading.I meant more of a representation of keen drivers as opposed to the 'driving miss daisy' brigade as someone called it.

I suspect you have had all you are going to get as most "keen drivers" as you put it won't put Rotalla on a car, at least not unless there are no other options.
Agreed, i wouldn't bother with such rubber, i'm not a Mich fanboy preferring to buy tyres from a shortlist incl Yokohama/Vredestein/Falken/Uniroyal when a decent offer comes up, they can often be had for only slightly more than unheard of brands.Have experimented with budget rubber twice in recent years to see if my prejudices were still valid, they are when the roads are damp, i won't bother again.

It looks like you're right. It was worth checking though just in case they were the new Kumho (who I'd also never heard of 10 years ago).Anyway, I've ordered the Michelins.

Either way, I can’t see you having worse luck with your chosen tyres than you would have done with the Rotallas.
