Hi Folks,

I've had a 2016 991.2 Turbo for a couple of years, and whilst I love the car - the exhaust note is about as uninspiring as it gets (I had a 991.1S with the sports exhaust option, and a 997 with a sports exhaust previously - both sounded great).

I would like to find an exhaust that sounds better.

However - I have (and intend to keep) the Official Porsche warranty on the car, which can theoretically run to 2031.

Porsche don't seem to offer any form of optional exhausts for the car.

Am I completely scuppered, as anything I fit to the car will immediately void the warranty - or are there any "warranty approved" exhausts out there, that could be fitted?

I have a similar(ish) thread, as would like a different exhaust for my GT3, but Porsche UK are very different to USA and I keep being told any deviation from standard will mean they won't work on the car iro warranty work.

A chap had to remove the exhaust he had put on and install the standard one - after that the OPC agreed to work on the car.

Even a non N marked tyre will cause an issue.

Some OPCs may be more lenient then others - maybe raise it with the OPC service manager/warranty person you use and see what they say?

OPC's vary a lot. I had Porsche 5mm wheel spacers fitted to my 981, but one centre refused to renew the warranty as they're not approved on 981's with 20" wheels. Caused no issues at all but had to remove them before renewal.

Thanks, I did think that was the case - as I asked OPC Sidcup if there were any factory options for it and their answer was a definitive NO
