Quick Estate for £10-15K - Audi S4 Avant?

Im looking for a quick estate for around a budget of around £10-15K.....an Audi S4 Avant looks to be ticking all the boxes atm,in looks,performance,toys etc - anyone owned one? What are the other alternatives?

Cheers,is B8 a certain year of them? Obviously i cant get a later one due to the budget...

Very few manual, petrol estates out there nowadays, at least not with any kind of fun-factor...

There's a thread on my C55 estate here. I'm really enjoying owning it, definitely worth considering as an alternative to the Audi. They are auto-only though, if that matters to you.

Some nice options...not too keen on Vauxhalls but the Touring BMW and Passat R36 are ones ive noticed before...are they on par with the S4 performance?

Im not bothered about it being auto...i like the fact you also have paddles on the Audi.

And i now own that very car, albeit with an owner in between us.

Boot is larger and more practical than i thought (coming from a C5 A6 estate previously- which to be fair is cavernous).
The car is much quicker than it feels, the v6 is incredibly smooth, and the acceleration just builds in a very linear fashion, with no "turbo surge", however really does accelerate.

I had it on the autobahn last summer, and it very happily made use of the derestricted areas.

I have 2young children, both still in child seats, its fine in the back, and once the child seats go, should feel more roomy, but the b8 A4 platform does t have the most rear passenger legroom, so if you have lanky teenage kids may be worth checking

Mine is a manual, in the UK average 32mpg on a motorway run, currently c29mpg overall inc town driving

When we did France, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg in the summer over c1800 miles, averaged 30mpg overall,which included a steady 150kph on the autobshns, with odd acceleration to 200kph +. Nothing too mental, but I did have wife and kids with me...
