Moving on from the Dokic thread, I got to thinking about lying and was trying to remember what my biggest lie was!

I would have to say it was a car related one. The huge dent in the side of my car after Le Mans which I told my parents was done by the staff on the ferry! It was in fact done when my mate got drunk and ran into the side of the car! :D

So go on then, apart from McLaren F1 ownership, meeting Jesus and being an international Marshanello Playboy, what is the biggest lie you ever told and did people believe you!?!?!?! :D

I've only ever used one of these.

1. The cheque's in the post.

2. Don't worry - The Bank Manager's a friend of mine.

3. No really, I promise I won't in your mouth.

Have a couple of gooduns.

Was driving up to an old military hospital so that my mates could score some pot from the dodgy caretaker, decided it was a good idea not to get out of my dads van and shut the massive steel gate, but to try and give it a swing so that it would shut behind the van under the force of gravity (on a hill). What actually happened was that I misjudged it and as I drove away the gate caught the bumper causing it to be bent into a ridiculous angle. So, I said to Dad, I was driving down the hill to the village and there was a short wheelbase series 3 landrover towing a caravan chassis, I couldn't see the number plate as he had no trailer board, he thought he could pass me, I had stopped and a part of the tubular caravan structure caught the bumper and there it is......

Dad went off the deep end and due to my thorough description drove around the whole rame peninsula looking for this bloke, he phoned the cops and everything. Still to this day, I haven't told him the truth

Surely the biggest lie for many married men is...

"I do".

When I was 15 a guy from the local garage brought back my mum's Mini Clubman Estate after some engine work. We parked it on the drive and left me the keys - my parents were out at the time. I drove it up and down the drive after ten times - enjoying every minute - then I thought I'd put it in the garage for them.

I drove it in, and straight into my dad's motorbike parked at the end of the garage - the Mini seemed to bounce off it - and then the bike toppled over, breaking the mirror, indicator, cracking the screen and scratching the mudguard.

Thinking quickly I rgot out of the car, then went ot the back and ran my fingers down the back doors and then told my dad I was pushing it in down the drive and then tripped and fell and the car ran away from me, crashing into his bike ...

How long did he believe me ... ?

About two seconds.

Hahahahahaha, legendary

I have a similar situation but far more complicated with far more lies. That is an absolute classic, if he ever pisses you off, you have the ultimate ammo! Don't tell me, you've got your brown wings as well?
