Any Pink Floyd Experts in?

Friend of mine is going through his dads record collection after he passed last year, and many moons ago (pun intended) he was a sales manager at Columbia music.

After a while he stumbled across a die cut standard sleeve and on the inner white sleeve is this...








After doing a bit of digging it seems that this could be a promo of the album but not really sure!

Trouble is, there is sooooo much vinyl from some seriously obscure artists that some of it could be quite collectible but the problem is where to look to find what/if any of it has some value.

It looks like there are six different test pressings on Discogs. If you look carefully at the runout - the bit nearest the label where the stylus sits at the end of the side - there may be information etched or pressed into the vinyl. Let us know what it says or alternatively Google it and Discogs will tell you what you have.

He also found a promo lighter for The Stones Flashpoint album, unused and in mint condition and apparently just sold it for £100 on eBay!

He also has a picture disc of the Sex Pistols ‘Never Mind….” Album.

His dad was a huge stones fan so I am sure there will be some other collectible stuff in there as he has only just scratched the surface of it all.




Now, putting the Floyd catalogue number in on Discogs just brings up the official release so will do a bit more digging and also see what that guy on YouTube says.

Sometimes you have to have a search with a magnifier all over the run-out on both sides for pressing / stamp numbers and mastering codes.
