What draws you to this bike?At that weight you could have an ali bike with front suspension.
If you don't want low bars, then a hybrid might suit?
OTOH, if your elbow is like mine, you might find riding on the hoods of drop bars better than straight MTB bars after a while?

I have one I bought to commute on, I believe it's 2015. I'm of a similar weight. It's like triggers broom, on different wheels, groupset etc now. I find it very comfy, can knock out 100 miles with ease if required. It's full commuter spec, panniers/mudguards/lights. Pretty much bombproof.I had one with 105. It was ok, used to use it for fireroads, and occasional winter riding. If I had the choice though, id always take the carbon offering. As much as I like the idea and look of steel, I just think a decent carbon bike with the right geometry for you and your riding will be better. So many options now, the CdF is overpriced for what it is.
