I'm going to remove and sell my CliveF Y piece and refit the original TVR part. Before doing so, I would like to ceramic coat the TVR Y piece. I have ACT stainless steel headers that are a nice gold colour, I'd like the Y piece to be a similar colour but none of the places I see online do gold. Does anyone know of a coater that can do a gold colour?

If you are going to sell the Clive F Y piece, I'd be interested.

I'm a while off, plan is that Y piece sale will fund the ceramic coating, I hear it's quite pricy

Performance One coatings, operating through zircotec. These are my speed six manifolds and were about £350 give or take. I can’t remember the name of the gold though.

Bob, have you thought about getting ACT sports cats instead and selling the CliveF and original Y piece? They might tarnish up better.

Only asking as last time I got a price of Zircotec the prices had rocketed and I can only assume they'll have gone up again.
Also no one will get it to look like your manifolds anyway so might look a bit strange if that makes sense, yes I know it's just the engine bay and it does provide lower bay temps but guessing that you've had your car for 100 years wink you'll not have any excess heat problems.

Just a thought thumbup

Just had a look, £1,240 is a bit steeper than I was hoping to invest in this task. Good call but that's not for me. I may just go for black ceramic, that way the colour difference would look better

Nice one. I have in my head a few years ago Zircotec wanted over £2k to do manifolds and Y piece so you may be looking at £1k for Y piece now.

Other ceramic finishes are available; might be worth your while looking at Cerakote.

Volcanic Gold per this Scott - still happy with the outcome and durability of the finish?
