ND MX5 Interior Heater

The interior heating system isn’t getting as ‘hot’ as it should, particularly the floor vent. I was thinking thermostat however the dash temperature gauge is operating and reading normally. Any ideas please?

I don’t know if it affects MX-5 but there is a TSB for such an issue so it is worth checking with your Mazda dealer.

Assuming it is the same issue, the cure is to flush the heater core with citric acid.

I had it on a 2014 CX-5 and the flush sorted it right out.
