Gallardo LP prices

So I'm thinking about buying in...either to a Gallardo LP / Performance / LP570-4 SL. The other (slightly less interesting option) is an F430.
I'm wondering if prices have 'bottomed' ? The LP (and please do correct me if I am wrong), has a reputation for greater reliability and while there are great fun cars to drive, I think they could become highly investable. If we take a look back over previous series of revival Lamborghini and Ferrari, think the Lambo typically does better.
For example:
Muira c. 1-3m (depending on version) vs Daytona c.£700k (for coupe)
Countach c. 400k-£1.4m(depending on version) vs BB c. 250k-350k
Urraco c 75k - 175k vs 308GT4 c. 60k
Diablo c. 150k-350k vs Testa Rossa c. 100k-150k
Mercielago c 150k - 400k vs 599 75k - 150k
The Lambos are consistently more valuable as they get older compared with the rival Ferrari. They're made in really quite tiny numbers. I realise that some of the above data is a little bit cherry picked (and there is some V12 stuff going on) and I could have bothered to tabulate it better but I believe there is a trend.
If we look at the prices of 430 Scuds and 16M - then should the SL and Performance be 'right up there' in years to come ?
Meanwhile, I am watching to see if the UK mid exotic car market has a dip - the way it did in 2008/09. The really high end stuff (like GCTs, F12TDFs and so on) will not be impacted as they are bought by people who are not impacted by domestic economic issues (or even any economic issues). However, there may be an absence of buyers for the Gallardo / F430 for a couple of years - might be an opportunity....

If you can afford to buy and run one, then why bother what it will be worth in the future.
If you can't afford to, or don't want to buy and run one without worrying about future values, then hire one. Fretting about value means you won't enjoy it as you'll be worried about using it, scratching it, and especially you won't want to rack up the miles as that will affect resale value. In which case you may as well get the Fezza.

You can always make more money but can't make more time. You'll be dead at some point.
Honestly who cares? All those cars you mentioned are up to 50 years old.
If you'll worry about losing value..... don't buy it.

It's not for me. poor investment and a money pit. I already have a car to chuck money at and just have fun with. This was supposed to be a car to cherish and bring out for shows and the occasional exclusive track day.

I dont think anyone really knows whats going to happen with supercar prices.
Economy is failling, enviomental issues, city tax for driving cars into cities, fuel costs ever increasing,
on the plus side for collectors or speculators is they are phasing out IC cars, hybrid supercars becoming the norm over the next few years and then potentiall in 7 years no ice cars. (at that point possibly depending on legisliation - ice cars (rarer ones) may increase in value, (supply/demand) but goverment could make it very expensive to own ice cars if they chose to which would kill prices.

most older supercars that have held their value or increased tend to be the rarer models, porsche, ferrari, lambo etc. all the limited edition models and classic ones, (circa 25 years old) are probably worth more now than they were at one point.
not everyone cares, some buy, drive move on, but lots of people to buy with the intention that it wont plummit in value, and some buy hoping to make money in the future. everyone has different budgets or financial constraints.
I woudnt buy for investment long terms, Id buy because you want to drive/show/shine whatever, but investment, - property is a better bet.

In regards to gallardo pricing in general not much seems to be selling at current pricing however owners also won’t accept lower offers as they think the car is worth what they’ve got it up at
It’s a catch 22 currently,
There are 2 lp superleggeras for sale currently
A grey one at 150k and a yellow one at 169k
Personally don’t think they’re worth that considering what else you can buy for 150-170k
Think I’d rather go into a 720s 600lt or huracan for that money!
