I've got a 2023 M4 Competition xDrive. A buddy told me that I should upgrade the stock brake pads to ceramic dust free ones. He suggested EBC, Hawk or Akebono. But I don't see anything for my car on any of their sites. Maybe you guys can steer me in the right direction. Thanks.

1. I doubt aftermarket manufacturers will have even thought about making pads for a new car unless the car uses the same calipers/pads as another current model.

2. EBC are not an upgrade, they are made of plasticine.

3. You need to think why/if you want to change what is on there now first, rather than just JB says I need to.

4. If you do then find the actual pads fitted from BMW & work round the aftermarket manufacturers from there to see who does what and then decide if they are actually better.

Not forgetting that a brake pad that is actually better than OE will likely be a few hundred just for the fronts.

I'm just trying to eliminate so much brake dust without sacrificing performance. If that's not possible then that's fine. But if it is I'd like to know.

Why on earth do people keep recommending EBC, year by year by year..?
Mind-boggling.

Bizarre indeed.

OP if it's for road use only stick to the OE pad and just invest in a good wheel sealant. Far cheaper and warranty friendly too.
