I work very closeby so I'm around there often - We did have a nice view from one office right when they made the initial change.
It doesn't seem to have made much of a difference in reality - There's still plenty of people who make the run across the bridge regardless of the restrictions, expensive I'm sure.
In reality I'm relatively indifferent to the bridge itself; I can think of a fair few places where traffic will be much worse locally as a result of reopening with commensurate negatives to "existing" in the same area.
The part that really is appreciated is the extra space on the borough side.
Fundamentally though, I'm up for anything that discourages driving into central London, or at least confines traffic to primary routes, but that's an argument for another day

Living in London is going to get worse and worse. These ideologues do not care. Even if you support the whole "15 minute cities" idea, for anyone living centrally that 15 mins will often cross the river. Simple example - there is a large Waitrose in St Katherine Docks. Lots of people south of the river will use it because there isn't one south of the Thames unless you go to Greenwich.

Yes, I agree that the Mayor and TFL have shown themselves to not really be interested in democracy when it goes against their ideas - however, the realisation that so many / the majority objected to the ULEZ expansion is the basis for the pushback / including from various South London councils now saying that they won’t consent to the install of TFL’s monitoring equipment for the project.
So always good to make your voice heard.
