Looking to get a SUV type thing probably spring/summer time and the Forester seems to tick an awful lot of my boxes so is on my very short list.
I’m looking for real life opinions of the e-boxer engine and what it’s like to live with. I know it’s not a ball of fire performance wise and MPG is only marginally better than an N/A engine but is it really a hard slog on motorways? Do you really notice the performance deficit in everyday driving? I’ve had slowish cars before and it’s usually a case of adjusting your driving to suit but I want something comfortable to cruise with so what RPM are you seeing at 70mph.
Think I’ve seen every YouTube review and it’s a mixed bag to say the least with the drivetrain throwing up most criticisms so real world opinions by owners/users would be appreciated.
Any XV owners with the same engine that would be happy to contribute would be appreciated also to help give a balanced view.
Only interested in post 2019 facelift model of the Forester.
