Hi from Riyadh

Just thought to come and say hi in the Middle East section, but it looks pretty quiet. I moved here late last year and am shuttling backwards and forwards between here and home a little bit. I'm here working with an ECom start up in a very international team. Work is interesting and Riyadh is a lot nicer than I had expected it to be from everything I read online. Decided to move into a compound initially, just taking the easy option. Next step is a car I guess. Looking at the state of most of the cars on the road and the driving conditions I'm not keen to spend much. Anyone interested in life and work here ask away....

this subforum used to be pretty busy but died a death with social media, most of us are UAE based and the chat has moved to whatsapp. there are a couple of saudi based phers, but i doubt very many of us in the gcc check this page very often.
i'm job hunting atm and saudi is looking to be an option, albeit not riyadh, would be interested to hear your take on it.
