Spotify shuffle

My playlist doesn't seem to shuffle like it used to, seems to favour certain songs.
I've downloaded my playlist and listen to it offline.
I've tried logging out and clearing cache etc but no luck.
Seems go be a common issue but has anyone solved it?

It seems that Automix is Spotify's attempt at a Smart Shuffle, trying to match songs. Meaning that it plays similar to what you listened to, meaning you hear similar things, meaning you hear the same things...

I've been thinking this. I seem to recall Apple implemented something for the shuffle function on ipods/itunes years back as people complained about repeats etc when shuffle was on as it was truly random so you could end up hearing the same song several times. Might be complete tosh but sounds logical and is probably in use to this day!

Automix just allows a seamless transition between songs on certain Spotity playlist. I don't believe it has an impact on song selection via shuffle.

Interested to hear what any eventual fix may be though, as I must say I find also experience the same biased selection on shuffle where I end up hearing the same songs.
