ROI or NI?
Id assume NI is the same as the rest of the UK, in that 95RON will be E10 fuel and thus have ethanol in it. It is safe to use with the V12VS, but if you can get E5 super use that instead. No additive is going to remove the ethanol, so personally I wouldn't bother wasting time and dosh on it. Just buy the best fuel you can whilst over there.

I'm pretty sure it's got nothing to do with variable valve timing although this was introduced on the V12VS version of the V12 but not present on the V12V version IIRC.It is having a knock sensor that matters. This was also a new feature of the V12 on V12VS, not present on V12V. The knock sensor allows the engine to adjust to the octane rating of the fuel it burns by adjusting the ignition timing. I'm sure your car will be fine on 95RON fuel, if not quite as fast as with 98-100.

It'll be fine. You may get a few more knock events happen (if you're driving flat out for a long time or tip-in to high load at low engine speed) ambient temps this time of year reduce the potential for this a lot though, it's nothing the ECU cannot handle happily.

I’ve run my V12VS on 95 for 8 years. No issues whatsoever. I asked the same question to someone in the know (F1 engineer with Aston links) way back then. You may possibly notice a tiny improvement in performance with 98/99 on track, but probably not, and I don’t track my car. No engine damage will occur by using 95, so I wouldn’t worry. It’s marketing hype. However, I do use the lower ethanol E10 (or whatever it is) in my older classic cars.

I filled up in Dublin today at my local Applegreen. 97 has been available for some time. As I said previously I’m pretty sure Maxol also have 97 RON.
