i4 Delivery

Hi all

Has anyone taken delivery of their i4 yet? I have just placed my order and was wondering how long it actually took for delivery. I don't have a date yet but dealer estimated 6 months. I'm hoping that's an over-estimation but I am guessing its more likely to be an under-estimation...

Ordered last December (2021), still not gone into production, yet orders with the same dealer, placed months after mine, have been delivered.
BMW are a joke, how hard can it be to produce in line with the order date on the system.
The dealer contacted me in Oct to say that a production slot had opened up in February so they would allocate that to me. Do dealers really decide which orders go into production ?
Big franchise near a big airport . . . never again.

Less than 9 months for an M50 with only a couple of options. Was ready for September registration.

Colleagues have not seen their cars yet but they seem to have ordered everything optional.

I wondered if this might be a factor? Not an i4, but when I got my 4GC about a year ago there was a lot of talk across many manufacturers on delivery vs chip shortage. I was seeing stuff that suggested if you'd gone heavy with with the options, particularly tech/chip stuff, then could delay it?

I had a fairly 'straight' spec, so got one of the earliest new 4GC (seems to have the same model code as i4?) in the country.

Ordered my i4 M50 with some options in April 2022, it's just making it's way to the dealer now and I only know that because I've been bothering the dealer and using BMW online Genius to check. BMW communication is rubbish and you're left with no clue where you're at
