Close on £500… https://eurowagens.com/cibie-mini-oscar-led-spot-l...

Or same set via the bay for £445. Or some used ones for £170 plus postage. Pair of covers available seperately for £30…. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165694179065?mkcid=16&a...

There Seem to be a fair few in larger sizes, that are cheaper, but not so many in this one

Btw You can get a Hella pair on AmAzon for £80

Calinours

fair question

the V12V g-has really poor lights for Australian country driving - hence the extra spot

The F1 has great lights for straight ahead or mild curves (say 40mph signed or above) but they are atrocious for anything tighter - you just cant see around the corners as there is no sideways spread

So i thought I would put an extra spot / driving light on eacjh and then add a wide beam to the F1 also once I had the driving light set up

When I saw 'Cibie Oscars' I thought of four biggies strapped across the bonnet rally-style hehe

An Aston in the WRC perhaps? A DBX in the Paris-Dakar?

I like the way you think - suspect 1 central one will be all I need

and here in Aus it gets quite hot so was a bit concerned about blocking airflow to radiator - perhaps overthinking it!

Probably that is worrying too much - on the V8V the center the radiator is already to some extend blocked by the air intake (removed on the racecars). A "cyclops" center light may look weird...

I bought these for my Range Rover. They're fantastic quality and I can't tell the difference from original Cibies.

Perhaps a bit large?

I have some spots for my motorbike.
Denali make some beautiful lights and can connect to anything with a 12v source. Very bring depending on which size you go for

EBay threw up some NOS Cibies for my Escort. Was a result

But they do re manufacture them. I’ve bought some recently for another car

Graze, I got my Cibie LED Mini Oscar from the Netherlands as no one had stock in the UK, plus they were better priced. I’m sure they can ship to you. Ping Nelly Odolphie a message. Get the wiring loom too as it simplifies things as the Cibies have their own connectors. You’ll need to fabricate some brackets, relocate the horn and reposition the temperature sensor slightly, there’s not much room behind the grill. But it’s a relatively easy install.

So thanks everyone for your thoughts on this

I've taken Pent's advice & purchased 2 x Denali D3 LED spots and some brackets & wiring loom - all up US$500 delivered to Oz.

they look great quality are all black, maybe a bit small (will see when they are fitted), have great light spread/throw and service from Denali was brilliant in answering my questions and assisting with their products

Graeme,

I'm watching this thread with interest. Which colour lens covers did you go for (please say yellow - that vicariously appeals to the child in me)?
Do you plan to splice these new lamps into the high beam circuit (via relay, of course)? Or are you going to install a separate switch somewhere in the cabin? Pictures of the installation "head on" and impressions of the difference in light output would be appreciated.

To be honest, I don't find the high beams on my '15 V8V to be too bad - not quite up to the modern LEDs on my V60 but OK at motorway speeds and enough to irritate drivers on the opposite carriageway at quite a distance.

typo fixed
