Outlander PHEV - Alpine Audio System

Hi All,
Not sure where to post this as there isn't a Mitsu section in the Japanese section of the forum.
A family member recently bought one with the upgraded Alpine audio system and he believes the sub has blown as there is next to no bass and the whole system sounds pretty woeful.
He's tried getting in touch with Mitsubishi who haven't been very helpful.
Does anyone know where the subwoofer is actually located so he can take a look at it?

The top spec Bose has a sub in the spare wheel well that looks identical to the Dynaudio fitted to VAG cars. Whether Alpine systems come with it I guess your son will soon discover.
