Lost my Griffith handbook!

Well I've either lost it, its been left at the garage who last serviced it in April and I've not noticed it missing, or some b'stard has nicked it from the glove box. Either way I can't find it at all and I've been turning my house over trying to find it without any luck whatsoever. I honestly can't remember the last time I saw it or what I did with it!

I'll call the garage in the morning but if I'm being honest, I'm fearing the worst. What would be my options about getting a replacement one? I've got all the paperwork for the car's service history so it wouldn't be a total loss but I'm plenty bothered about the fact that it wouldn't be original and wouldn't have all the stamps from the people who've serviced it over the years. Am I being crazy or would this possibly affect the value if I were to sell it in the future? Perhaps I'm worrying too much?

I've had a Chim one on order for 9 months now, don't fancy your chances of getting a Griff one from the factory.

Best bet might be a scrappers like Douglas Valley, someone on here has recreated the service pages so a trip round the garages with reciepts to get it stamped up.

I wouldn't panic Chris, if I was coming to buy your car & you have all the receipts for the services I'd be more than happy.

For what it's worth, the duplicate copy of each stamp sheet gets sent to TVR, so Blackpool have a copy of all your stamps.

Give them A call & they should be able to furnish you with the details of your services, don't know if they keep the hard copies though.

Not all dealers sent the cards back to the factory all the time.

If you look at the service cards, there are 2 for each mileage, one for the handbook, one to be sent to TVR.

The ones that did get sent back get put in the cars folder for records by Mum..

I am in the same predicament. Just moved house and cant find it at the new place or if I gave it to Mum for safe keeping at the factory.

Problem solved! Thanks for your replies but I've phoned the garage and they've still got it! Problem was made a little more complicated as the private plate on my car, and hence their database, doesn't match up to what's in the book.

I'm thinking I really should be a little more observant in the future! 4 months and I han't even noticed it missing!
