Haynes Museum charity trackday - Sun 9th Oct

The date has been set - Sunday 9th October for the Haynes Charity trackday.

We have exclusive use of the track for that day with all proceeds going to Marie Curie Cancer Care and the British Heart Foundation.
For track participants you can have exclusive use of the track for the meagre sum of £20 for fifteen minutes free-lapping strictly on a first come first served basis with a general admission of £5 per car on the gate.
As well as the track there is also a great museum to check out while you are there. There will be refreshments available on site as well as a draw/raffle so dig deep and make a difference to someone who needs it.

Those whom want to pay in advance can do so otherwise it's forst come first served.
We have the track from 10am until 5pm with a luchbreak from 1-2pm.
We are not allowed to have any 'commercial' food/drink as Haynes have their own ammenities on site but I am sure if I brought a large BBQ they wouldn't mind if we all chucked some shrimp on the barbie!
An update on the charidee auction, just confirmed are two luxury weekend breaks in a cottage in Devon!
As well as the track area we also have the adjoining field to BBQ/show 'n' shine!

O.K. folks bit of an update for you...
Having not been to the track before and given the info that previous track go-ers have given me there are a few updates...
As it is quite a short circuit it has been recommended that a shorter period may be of benefit once on the track so it has been proposed that it might be an idea to do 10 mins for £15 and 5 for £10, again open season on the day go on first come first served.
You will need a crash helmet of some sort so beware, no lid - no track-time.
There is a noise limit, I think it's 98db although this is very very rarely checked, even so I will take up my own track day silencers and seeing as there can only be one person on the track at a time they will be open for anyone to use so that should solve a lot of problems.
Anyone going form the South West region has been invited to meet at the South West TVR main dealer - Peninsula www.rhactiv.co.uk/ptvr/index_tvr.asp at 9am where Alan will meet you before rumbling up to the track at Sparkford.
Anyone thinking of travelling up from Plymouth or further down in the South West region, Rob James (Serby) is heading the meet at Sainsburys at Marsh Mills, Plymouth at 8am.
Further more on the draw/auction front we have just had a stonker of a prize offered up from Paul from lotus-on-track.com
Paul has offered a place for a track day on their Bedford GT circuit track day on Saturday 10th December and to boot it would include 2 free training sessions if required! How cool is that!!!
Furthermore we have been out on a photoshoot for the Plymouth Evening Herald today to raise awareness and their is a rumour that the Exeter Express and Echo might be covering the meet at Peninsula so don't be surprised if you bowl up and the cameras start taking shots of your pride and joy - get polishing, beware!
