Off to collect my ‘new’ car.

3.5 hour train ride awaits.
Deposit paid so I need to buy it really unless it’s only got 3 wheels.
Absolutely firmly in the ‘Brave Pill’ area of car buying with potentially ruinous maintenance costs.
More than 4 cylinders.
Can only ever be described as a heart over head purchase.

Currently waiting at York.

Love these threads! Glad the trains are running for you

I’d go with C63 too.

Maybe a pricey 4 x 4 given the weather …

Great tactic ! Start a thread before sitting in a train for 3.5 hours ! Restart the ‘is the r8 a super car ‘ thread and keep yourself entertained! You’ll probably end up going past your stop !

V8 petrol Range Rover or Cayenne? Both excellent winter cars on paper other than ruinous fuel costs and reliability that gives you butterflies every time you go to start it up.

Good luck and looking forward to seeing what it is.

Strange

Great thread…looking at your car history…
You’ve had big Mercs, BMWs, Jags…

But you are quite fond of Italian….

I too think it’ll be. Maserati GT or QP
Or possibly an AMG of some flavour

Previously owned 4 Alfas and currently has one - I’m guessing its along the Maserati lines too.

156 GTA. There’s been a few for sale recently (I’m always looking at them). Been brave to go and look at 2 previously and walk away.

Ok…. A clue is that it’s beyond shed territory. Ie. If it goes wrong you have to fix it really, you can’t just throw it in the bin.

Or… maybe it can throw such ruinous bills that is actually possible!

It’s more than 8k and less than 20k…

It’s between 10 and 20 years old

It isn’t the TVR I just added to my profile! I’ve had that since 2020

Ok that changes things a little….
No one could throw away:

Porsche
Bentley/RR
Maserati

Perhaps an Arnage or a Panamera in addition

MDMA .

Still waiting. Or did it have 3 wheels?
