Just watched this on Sky.

Usual nice end of season congratulations and awards - thought Roger Penske was brilliant - what an achiever - and lovely exchange with Jackie S.
Vettel and George Russell both excellent (IMO), A.M. young driver awards, etc,……..all very nicely presented.

Autosport is a comic and it’s copy reads like The Sun. There are some good technical pieces but most of the reports, especially F1, lack any analysis or scrutiny.

The nomination for the awards ignored vast swathes of motorsport, both UK and International. The Best British Competition Driver nominations were three F1 drivers and the IMSA Champion. BTCC, GT, Hillclimb, club? Completely ignored.

Fair comment, but the Sky coverage was abridged, and a lot of Awards weren’t shown.
However, Tom Ingram did receive National Driver of the Year Award

Agree. Gave up on autosport a long time ago.

For something purely dedicated to motor racing I find the content extremely lacking around the big events.

Its a rag, like MN< and Lord knows how that stays running it muct be less than 10k copies a week now. Autosport was always too F1 centric after the Mansell and Hill era, and they only really employed people who were the same so it was never allowed to change much, but it sells, you only have to see how the media and everything rect to f1 to see that it really is the only motorsport in the UK that sells and matters
