Any tips for petrolheads in Dubai?

I will be on holiday in Dubai the week before Christmas with my son (aged 12). Any tips?

Can we walk into the high end dealerships we’ve seen on YouTube or do you need to be a billionaire?

My experience here has been that, if you walk in, introduce yourself at the desk and ask would you mind if you looked around, its always been a yes. They then know that you are just looking around and not a prospect so they can focus on potential buyers and I think the fact that you ask for permission goes a massive way in terms of respect.

If they are not busy, then will often open a car if you ask so you can see inside. Again, showing that you and your kid respect the cars so not touching etc works wonders and they are more than happy in most cases to show more.

I've seen some mind-blowing stuff here and many photos of my son next to anything and everything including a McLaren Longtail!

You were right. We had no problem looking round F1rst Motors, Pupil of Fate, VIP motors etc. The quality and number of cars on display was mind blowing.
