New minerals discovered in African meteorite

Two new minerals have been identified in a 15-tonne meteorite in Somalia.
The rock, which the locals use to sharpen knives, contains Elaliite and Elkinstantonite. Both compounds that have been synthesised in a lab, but apparently this is the first time they have been found in nature.
