Hey party people.

I've just been to see a 2.0 Capri and to be honest it was an awesome car but far to much of a monster for me at the moment, and much to big a leap from my lowly Corsa.

I got home, had a chat about it with the old man and came to my decision not to go for it, largely because I don't have a big enough disposable income if something was to happen to it.

My Dad then said to me, "what about a Hyundai Coupe?"
so once I'd finished laughing, I looked at a few online and thought are they really that bad?

So people of Pistonheadland
I ask of thee,
Would a Hyundai Coupe,
Be really that bad for me?

This bit doesn't rhyme, but what about an Escort Cabriolet or would I have to change my name to Michelle and grow some crazy shaped hair?

Shirley the monetary difference you are spending on the (bloody good) Hyundai coupe will help you keep the Capri on the road?

I have a corsa at the moment
which is about as powerful as the lawnmower i was using this afternoon.

Well..if you defiantely not getting the capri, then have a look at whatever celica, or NA MR2 that is in your price range. They are great cars. hell.. there are loads of cars you could have... Celica was first that popped into my head.

get the 2.8 (160bhp, RWD and leaf springs - you know it makes sense)

I had been looking at MR2 MK1's for a long time, but just couldn't get the insurance down enough.
Completely understandable for my age group etc(under 20).

so basically if I can get insurance for less then 2k and same for the car, then that would be Grand.

The 2.0 has only got about 100bhp hasn't it? Shouldn't really be much of a scare in a RWD car, hell, you'd have trouble having a scare in a 1 wheel drive 3 wheeler with that much power. Now, go and buy it and be Vinnie Jones in lock stock, you know you want to ffs.

Its not so much the power, I can handle that, its just got shite handling! I took it round the block and it pulled across the road whenever I touched the brake, I'm still a sponging student (get him!)

Although I do bare an uncanny resembelance to Vinnie, maybe i'm just not as cool as you Rob
