I have been in some sheds in my time but as my car has a funny shaped boot opening I had to borrow a siera to pick up a couple of bits the other day.

Oh my god it was a state:eek:, the owner was a painter and obviously did not wait until all the pain was dry before driving home, ok not a problem dried paint all over the interior but the roll up tobbaco I had to wipe from the seat to sit down might have been a clue. This was rough like I have never known before, tobbaco/ ash in the gear gaiter and after leaving it for a hour in the sun the smell :hurl: I couldnt get the window open quick enough

Some people really dont care, ok so its only a siera but still you dont want to retch whenever you get into it.

Reminds me of that Grand Designs program when the German Workers cleaned their tools and van before they left the site:clap:, i think this guy could do with some lessons

I bought a 2.8 capri from an artexer once, the drivers seat looked like a dog had eaten half of it, the remainder had a quarter of an inch of plaster all over it!!

a friend bought a left hand drive capri 2'3 ghia, where the whole interior was a sickly green colour (don't you miss the 70's), that could have done with an artex job to improve it!!

I dont thing thats a factor here I mean even if I was in the building trade I would not let my car get to the state, where I almost retched whenever I got in it

I really feel that the best option would be to run it through the car wash with the windows open and drill a few holes in the floor

This was worse than the Orion that I was a passenger in that had mould growing in the carpet

I did some filming once in the back of the Kilshaw's Espace (remember the couple that tried to adopt two American boys over the internet). You have never seen such a dishevelled and smelly interior. It was vile, and the worst part was that I couldn't open the window while driving as we were interviewing Mr Kilshaw, and the wind noise would have been too much.

I was nearly sick. I have to say though, Mr Kilshaw was actually a very nice chap.

I used to fit stereos for a well known auto parts place. People used to bring their cars in without bothering to tidy the interiors at all. At least once a weekend you had a car or van or MPV with baby excrement, dog $h!t or something not very nice in it. So not one specific car I can remember...

A work colleague of mine used to have one of the old style Micras in alluring beige..., as if the exterior wasnt bad enough, the inside was knee deep in chip wrappers / pizza boxes / other wide and varied confectionary or fast food wrappings and containers.

It got to the point where SHE had to clean it out before taking it in for a major service - It took two bin bags full to clear the cabin alone... Legendary...?!

As a more sensible response to the question - I think one of the worst car interiors I have come across would be the Ford Probe... Quite nice and comfortable until you start using the gadgets. For example - Using the electric windows would cause the door trim to move and flex in an alarming fashion.

A colleague of mine basically fills the passenger footwell of his company Mundaneo with his sandwich and fag packets. The interior is sprayed with ash. The car looks awful - its only about two years old.

I did refuse to get into it without a tetanus jab. He reckons he's discovered new life and he doesn't want to upset the delicate ecosystem.

You should see my bedroom

Pimp-tastic smoked mirrors adorn the whole of one wall, and I found the instruction manual for a vacuum penis-enlargement device tucked away in a fitted wardrobe when I moved in.

The previous owner, a Mr. A. McNab (yes, really!), you've been rumbled...

The back of some farmers cars have a lot to answer for IMO!! Apart from the obligatory hay/straw and fluff debris, you can find all sorts of horrors like dagging shears, filthy clothes, medicaments and goodness knows what else.

My Dad's girlfriend is a real nightmare. She's a lazy work shy bint, who lives off a trust fund so doesn't want to do anything. The car is a six month old cabriolet, but it is never cleaned inside. It actually looks like a 15 year old heap. Inside looks like a bin, with paper, crumbs, dust, food, you name it. The house would be just as bad, if it wasn't for my Dad cleaning up after her.

I was going to say Charles De Gaulle airport in Paris until I saw it was about cars.

My wife cannot drive anywhere without ample supplies of food in the car.

I once got in the car (fiesta) to move it. When I went to close the door, I put my fingers into two inches of liquid, decomposing apple cores she'd left in the inside door handle.

My car interior is pristine.

Food is banned. Rubbish is taken out straight away, and leaves are picked off the mats on a daily basis. No junk. Everything has it's place. I even have a duster wrapped round a spare garage key so it doesn't roll around the door bin or scratch it.

People also get told off for leaving hand prints / sticky fingers.

Children would be banned if I had any.

Taste wise, the worst interior I have come across is the 350Z in burnt orange, with a burnt orange leather interior to match. It was puke inspiring, very overbearing and extremely tasteless.

It probably doesn't have that effect on the owner. What made you retch - tobacco smells? They don't tend to have that effect on smokers. To me it sounds like a perfectly standard building trade interior.

I take it you'll never be decorating that room then.

Hmmmmmmmm...

A Ford Capri. Dodgy stuff...

Ferrari 355 was pretty rubbish too though. It wasn't distasteful, but it reminded me of many a Japanese interior - Bland.

You jest. It's top of me Julie's hit list once the bathroom refit is complete (9 months and counting )...
