From Mildenhall, no ID on FR24 or ADSB exchange. Showing as civilian, but g/s 400kts+. Circling at the western edge of the Newcastle CTA. Well after the RAFs bedtime too. There have been a few F-15s around lately but this one has been hanging around for ages. Any ideas?

My thought too, but not sure what there is of interest here. Too far south for Spadeadam, and no exercises NOTAMed either. We often get stuff passing over, but never loitering for so long.

If it's out of Mildenhall I doubt it'll be an F-35, none based there as far as I know.

Lakeneath (F15 F35) are doing night ops this week, yours could be a KC 135 out of mildenhall supporting them.

Could be a KC135, although probably not at 400 knots. The pilots from Lakenheath occasionally fly from Mildenhall, and sometimes mess with the ADS data- it’s not uncommon to see KC135s apparently flying from Cambridge. I’d stick with a likely F35 as lots of night flying around atm.

I've been working near Dereham this week and yesterday there were some fantastic (F15?) dogfights going on overhead, plus fly past by Ospreys and I think Hercules or Galaxies.

F15s ? wentover in a very tight formation of three.

Great to watch

We had a significant uptick in Tyhpoon and F15 flights over the moors at the start of the UKR war... Then nothing.

Just noticed it's got very busy again with all types... Not just fast air.

It is the 10th afterall laugh

No, too low, fast noisy and not neat enough for tanker tracks.
