He has got to be one of the more controversial and out-spoken F1 drivers.

Do we love him or loathe him ?

Personally I think these type of individuals bring some colour to the sport and keep the public's interest levels high.

Mr Irvine tells it as it is (to him) and that's bound to upset a few people. His relative honesty must make him a goodie, and yes he can drive a bit / earn a bit / schmooze a bit. Bastid.

You used to be a F1 racing driver for Ferrari, you are a multi, multi, multi millionaire, you are very good looking (as blokes go), you have the gift of the gab, you have to fight girls off with a shity stick and you have the ear of many rich and famous people.

So what id it about you that some people dislike Mr Irvine?

Seriously I think good on him. Doubt I would want to do business against him, rather than with him though.

Oh, and he can come across as a bit of a tit on occasion.

there are merely two kinds egotistical twits with a personality (Irivine, Senna etc) and those without (Hakkinen, Schumacher, Raikonnen etc)

sorry, not a fan of eddie irvin.

i kinda felt he was a bit overrated. he promised so much but didn't seem to deliver on the day. the fact that he didn't get a drive after jag must be telling.

He comes across in the media as an extremely shallow individual. However as I don't know him, I neither love or hate him.

nice enough chap, oppinions are freely available a good thing in my book, being prepared as a racing driver to accept he cant beat his team mate, unforgivable

the sport is better with him as a mouth than a driver to be honest dont remember him ever managing all that much really. just seemed to have opinions of what he would do that he never managed to back up.
