Bluetooth adaptor - Lexus IS 2nd generation
Discussion
Good morning folks - please move this if in wrong section.
I recently inherited my late fathers Lexus IS250 SE-L which has nav and the -superb - Mark Levinson set up.
Car is great, however it’s only weak point in phone integration for music etc as the headphone/aux socket method is crap.
Basically wondered if a gadget exists to add Android Auto//Apple CarPlay? I did find this which I think is compatible

but really don’t know anything about it. Any experience out there?

I had 2008 GS300 SE-L for a while and I fitted a Grom BT kit:

Super easy to install and worked wonders!
Perhaps check if they do something similar for your IS.

If it is just for music then get a cheap Bluetooth dongle from Amazon (etc) to plug into the AUX socket in the centre console. I power mine from a 2 way USB adaptor that goes in the 12v socket also in the console
Works better than some built in Bluetooth systems I've used.
Edit to Add: The sound using Bluetooth to AUX is much better (louder) than headphone to AUX.

A very tardy updAte but finally got round to doing something about this.
Picked up a Grom USB-3. It should do everything I need, and does with my wife and sons iPhones. Perfectly. But I have an Android phone - Samsung S23 to be precise - and it simply doesn’t work. I can’t get it to connect. I downloaded the DashLinQ app too, gone in to USB settings and pissed about with USB debugging as suggested in troubleshooter, but still nothing.
Can anyone advise?
