I guess Mrs Inc must be reading this as for most men (ok me at least) it's her looks that attract and the personality that decides whether I stay ...or not

I believe it's down to the fact that people (not just women) are generally getting bigger. Many women were also undernourished as a result of WWII (I think) and had a less sedentary lifestyle anyway.
Besides, who wants to cuddle a stick insect?? There's nothing more unattractive than the scrawny, bony women that the media spends all it's time trying to foist upon us.

I agree that stick insects are unattractive, but we are talking about an hourglass figure becoming a barrel figure which is not an improvement in my book.

If they can combine a nice slim figure with some decent curves then they are very attractive. I don't find some of them very attractive at all-they have a look I call bony-tan. They have spent too long on a sunbed and don't eat enough.

Indeed...and while I'm not a big fan of the 'stick insect' look, if the choice were between too fat or too skinny (without going to extremes i.e. anorexic or morbidly obese), I know which I'd prefer...
