Have had various false starts with CRMs, mostly owing to partner not being computer literate and preferring pen and paper but we need to get a grip of it now. Double glazing firm with 2 answering the phone/dealing with emails and three fitting teams. All we need is a basic store of contacts and deals, and ideally an integral diary for scheduling appointments with said contacts. Currently for two users but once we're running will involve fitters as well, so 5 at a push. Needs to be mega simple and intuitive, especially on mobile.

Create lead, set appointment, upload survey sheet, convert to deal, upload contract etc. Really basic stuff.

Free would be ideal but happy to pay a small monthly if the solution suits us.

Anyone recommend a bare bones CRM solution?

Take a look at Hubspot.

The free version does a lot of what you request though not all (I don't think it includes scheduling or file upload). One of you will need to 'learn' it, so as to make it simple for the others, but definitely worth a look.

PM me if you have any questions about it.

We do similar and use Google calendar and contacts, six users.

Syncs perfectly, my only gripe would be that the little tweaks they make can be annoying and counter productive.

Thanks, I did try Hubspot but didn't get on with it. I used Zoho a while back so have gone back to that. Now the challenge is to get a dinosaur using it. smile
