Petrol shortage France

Does anyone know what the true situation is? News reports seem to make out it’s quite dire, but want to know from an actual person what it’s really like. We’re driving from Eurotunnel down to the Loire Valley, so will need at least one tank full of Super to get there and back, possibly more if I get a bit enthusiastic at any point.

I'm in Suresnes - just on the outskirts of Paris and its s
t. This is also exacerbated by the typical high quality levels of queuing and roadcraft that you would expect from the French (i.e non existent)
However, I rarely drive in town and have about 1/3rd of a tank left.
I just hope the strike is over before 22nd October as thats when I drive and move back to London!

Strangely the media in the U.K. are silent on the ongoing strikes and blockades of fuel refineries in France
Fuel is almost impossible to find in the north and east with only limited supplies on the west coast according to reports

Motorists formed long queues outside petrol stations from early Tuesday. In central Paris, traffic slowed as waiting cars blocked roads, cycle paths and pedestrian crossings, hoping to be served before the pumps went dry.
Many used social media to exchange tips. One post in a Facebook group Monday said that a local BP service station would be resupplied "at 2:30 pm". Another replied: "It's now 2:37 pm and they're out of diesel."
Another user reacted: "What a mess."
The petrol crisis comes at a time of high energy prices and inflation that are sapping French households' purchasing power.
The left-wing opposition coalition Nupes has called for a "March against a high cost of living" in Paris and elsewhere on Sunday.”

Workers are striking for 10% pay rise
Carrefour at Citie Europe yesterday, no queue but rationing. Not sure how they stop you going round twice - except the locals might lynch you.
Auchan filling station south of Amiens no fuel, 400m queue at the nearby garage and gendarmes in attendance.

An hour ago I was having a panic attack in Brittany having read this thread with 100km of fuel in the car and a need to get to Calais on Saturday
In retrospect things have started to make sense
Id noted over the week quite a lot (possibly most) filling stations were shut but didnt think anything of it and motorway gantrys had messages saying stuff like 'plenty of fuel in 60km' which especially was a bit weird but hey its France
I tried to fill up at the local Intermarche on Tuesday - we're out in the sticks - and it cut out after delivering 30l. As I hadnt realised how expensive it was till after Id started I didnt bother persevering and assumed Id get some en route home at the weekend
Have now revisited Intermarche which has half of its pumps closed and topped up another 30l at rip off prices but am now safe to get home
