Good evening all,

I’m sure this has been covered previously but I shall ask anyway, in short my Dad is potentially looking to import a Legacy Estate so I’m after some recommendations for importers, location doesn’t really matter.

Thanks in advance

Both mine have come through TorqueGT and had a flawless and happy experience, people say you pay alot with them but then the quality of the car's I've got have been top notch so I feel the value has been just right and the aftersales service has been great (they diagnosed and paid for a new HICAS ecu in the Skyline for example - I was happy to pay). Each time it took about 6 - 9 months from deposit to pickup, if you have the time then you can be as specific as you like. So long as it's legal I'll be buying cars from Japan through TorqueGT.

My Skyline was grade 4b;

Crown was a 3.5;

I’d also recommend Torque GT. They sourced and imported an Evo 5 for me a few years ago and were very good to deal with. When the car arrived they found it had a leaking radiator so they replaced that FOC, then when they did a pressure test they discovered the head gasket was starting to go. They ended up replacing the head gasket, timing belts and giving it a service (all FOC) to make sure it was up to their standards. I also paid them to do a couple of other small jobs prior to collection.

Couldn’t really fault them to be honest. Worst part is just being patient when trying to find the right car and then waiting for it to arrive and then prepared for collection.

I use SmileJV in Japan and MyCarImport to process in the UK

I like having a native English speaker who will physically check the car out before bidding, and mycarimport have been very fair this end

Yes, they will always do a basic "spray what they can see" which is included in the price, you can pay extra for a more thorough going through with the underseal.

Yes they will convert the speedo/odo

Another vote for Torque GT. They imported me a DC5 Integra in the middle of the pandemic. Great guys, they even refurbed the alloys free of charge when it arrived because they weren't happy with them.

Not the cheapest by any means but if I was importing again I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Underseal was included in the price if I remember correctly.
