Seeing a sports car I didn't even know existed...

Hi All
For all my many sins, I still like to think of myself as being pretty clued up on the world of cars, and most of the back catalogue from the last 50 years or so. From playing Top Trumps in the 70s and reading the Observer Book of Cars, thru numerous Clarkson videos and now all of YouTube, I thought I had seen it all. I knew my Monica's from my Monteverdi's.
And yet today, driving up the M40 out of London, I saw a relatively modern 2 seat coupe that I had no idea what it was. It wore a 58 plate, was front engined and pretty well styled and finished. This was no kit car. And yet I still had no idea what it was. The only clue was that it was left hand drive. I followed it for a while as we were both heading the same way and took a mental snap shot of it.
It looked like a strange cross between a Lotus Europa ( Elise version ) and maybe a Marcos TSO.
Any ideas ?

Me too. I think it's quite a nice looking car. Like the VX220, sold as the Opel Speedster in Europe, Opel GT prices have been climbing up. They are quite fun too. Not MX5 levels of handling. But the turbos with 265hp are much quicker than a MX5 or GT86 and make for a fun blast. I preferred the sister car, the saturn Sky which was also marketed in Europe as the Opel GT
