It doesn't look like any of us live close to each other. So what do we have on common?
Phumy and I appear to both be in Project Management.
My car interest are varied, I have a couple of race cars, I race at Sepang, a couple of road classics, ( Lotus Carlton and a Z3), an Elan +2 as a project, and I'm into motor bike touring, mainly Malaysia and S Thailand, but I've ridden on Borneo and in Indonesia.

I'm in Engineering/Construction, a Senior Draftsman/CAD
Lived in Hong Kong for 10 years, then Australia, then/now in New Zealand.
Still like hot hatches to drive, now is a Polo Gti, previously an Astra Sri.
Would one day before I go, like to have a Sylva/Raw/MK Striker or if rich a Caterham.
Also enjoy motorsport on tv, especially V8's from Aus.

I am in PM Construction & Commissioning of large power plants in SE Asia, have worked in Thailand, Indonesia but mainly Vietnam. Cars are my main interest but only when i get home to the UK as thats where they are. I predominantly went down the classic, new classic and investment route. Lotus Esprit V8, Audi RS2, Lotus Carlton, another Audi RS2, Aston Martin V12 Vantage, VW Mk5 Gti and lastly an Audi RS4 B7 variety. I only have the last three cars at the moment and will probab;ly hang onto them now.

Wanchawarrier, I have what is beleved to be only Sylva in Asia, it runs in the Asia Classic Car Challenge, at Sepang, this used to be Hong Kong Classic Car Club Challange, so it's fairly well known in Hk. I also have a 4age powered Locost, I hire out for the same series.
Before covid lots of people from hk used to race at Sepang.
This is the car two weeks ago at Sepang.
It's seriously quick, Sr 20 det.

still got property in Indonesia so i guess i am still part of the PH APAC community .....

Also a Project Manager, IT Infrastructure so ranging from fitting out Datacenters to corporate it networks to large sub-sea routes. amongst other things i was the one responsible for the global broadcast network for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics in S Korea.

nearly 20 years based in Singapore and Bangkok, went back to the UK just before COVID and seemed to get stuck here, but as mentioned we still have a holiday home / retirement pad in Indonesia and E53 X5 4.4V8 on the driveway there.

Only plus side of being back in the UK that i can tell is nice cars are much more affordable (until they are an outcast pariah)

edit there is a few PH'ers in Singapore that meet up for drinks from time to time.

May I ask, what’s quantity surveying got to do with tax, or indeed construction?

I'm based in Makati, Philippines for the last 11 years after being based in Bangkok. I set up a marketing brand protection company 4 years ago servicing online casinos/sportsbooks. Currently employ 52 people.

Car wise currently, obnoxiously loud B9 RS4 with miltek catless downpipes coupled with miltek non resonated exhaust, ECU/TCU tune, eventuri carbon intake, BBS LM's. Also have a Range Rover velar and waiting on a new 110 defender on order.

Import rules should be changing again soon for the better, at that point, looking for an RS2 in Nogaro to import and possibly an R5 GTT(to relive my youth) and a c63 black series.

Different countries have different rules, but all have the same problem in that only certain parts of a building qualify for tax deduction. You pass a BQ to a tax agent or accountant and they look at you blankly. So my job is an 'interpreter', explaining to clients which parts can qualify and telling accountants which ones to claim in the BQ
