2018 Odd Bumper Trims?

Currently considering a 2018 low mileage Mustang - it's one I was looking at a couple of years ago...

...but it now has these weird trims at the rear of the front bumper, both sides.

Any ideas? First thought is that they're hiding something.

Aren't they side markers or reflectors? Compulsory in USA.

Cheers - yes at the rear are the side markers, but the wierd black things running up the rear edge of the front bumper ahead of the wheels are nothing I can find on the internet - and definitely aren't standard.

From a close up, they look like a bumper plastic material rather than a vinyl material - but still cannot find anything similar (or indeed figure 'why').
