petrol smells

Hi everyone
Has anyone had problems with bad petrol smells I have my 98 s1 for over a year now but this has just started this week also my petrol cap dosent hiss anymore when i unlock it No local dealers over here so any info gladly recieved many thanks Iain

The breather pipe has split or come off.

There was a recall for some:

If it wasn't go to your favourite specialist and get it fixed asap anyway
