Please help my car is abandoned.

Civic SE PLUS 2014 1.8 140bhp petrol.
Started with a third cylinder misfire. Checked coil packs and spark plugs all fine.
Moved fuel injector from 3rd to 2nd cylinder, fault moved to 2nd cylinder, moved 'faulty' injector from 2nd cylinder to 1st cylinder, suddenly both 1st and third cylinder stop firing so now mechanic says 2 fuel injectors gone.
Only error logged is P2649 which relates to the oil control solenoid, mechanic thinks its still injectors, i dont know what to think?
Anyone had any experience?
Car has 45000 miles on it, had an oil change 4 months ago, enough oil in engine.
Problem is if it is injectors why did 2 go, 1 randomly and then another when one was moved. They are very expensive to buy so need to be 100% sure its that before commiting.
