Since the manual version of the Mk5 Zupr4 became a reality, I've been checking the Toyota website configurator.
It seems to be a case of "what's the point?"

The choice selection is dire.
You can basically choose the colour of your car, and only on some models, and that's basically it!

Why is that an issue?

They come fully equipped unlike many other cars where you get robbed for adding anything.

As a potential buyer, also been looking online.

I think it's great the come fully loaded if you select the Pro pack.

What options are missing for you?

The issue? Well, its not much of a configurator when apart from colour, everything else is more or less pre-set.
Its good that you point out that the Zupr4 comes highly spec'd, but I would have liked to have seen some options on interior colour combos, or an option on the wheels for example.

I'm only jesting of course smile

I am looking at buying the 6-speed manual, but aware that there is likely an engine upgrade version to be released in the next couple of years. Using the BMW M4 engine. (Hopefully available also as 6-speed manual.
If that is so I may delay until then.

(Hopefully also with a configurator that has more options on it! wink )

If you want my advice as Supra owner... Go for the base model - The HUD isn't great and the alcantara seats are much nicer than the cheapo bonded leather seats... smile

I was tempted to trade up for a manual but it's not worth it for me really so I am being sensible !

People have been waiting for that upgrade for two years to be honest and i'm not sure it's coming, all talk about it has gone decidedly quiet.

Personally, I was considering that wait in December 2021 but ended up getting one in March. I have no regrets at all, especially given I have a tuneable model and you are basically looking at 4-5k spend to get to 550-600HP reliably.

I'm not convinced it needs that engine tbh.
