A great man. I always liked him.

For a while at least he and - despite the prophesies of nuclear Armageddon- Reagan changed the world for the better.

I always thought that there was a genuine rapport between him, Thatcher and Reagan that made for a bit of optimism.

I’m old enough to remember writing a primary school letter to Andropov about not wanting nuclear armageddon.
