Girlfriends flatmate comes into the bedroom one morning to offer us a cuppa, sniffs the air and asks what the smell is, I replied that we'd let a candle burn all night to which she replyed "For gods sake! What a waste of electrcity!!!"

Met her already. She's normal, human, not inflatable, very nice and very fit.

I think Vixpy1 must have hired a model for the evening. Way out of his league...
sorry mate

Missus & I in our local last weekend, some photo's of some of the lads on the wall on a recent holiday - had a gander at them, then went for my pint - asked the missus where George was (george the landlord who is usually stuck to a bar stool all night) and she pulled me over to the photo's and pointed at one with george on it 'there he is'.

Honestly I could write a book about some of the stuff that's come out of her mouth (penguins are like ducks, sun & moon same thing, how do ducks float? I explained they have natural oil in their feathers her response 'who puts that on them?..) I'm not kidding either!

I should come along to that - I'd walk away with the trophy - mine thought that the 'left luggage' at the station was for the left hand of the station and assumed there was a 'right luggage' as well!

If it's dappy Mrs time ( sorry to the girls out there I'm sure you have some dappy bloke stories too ) mine bless her tried to suprise me by strimming the lawn whilst I was out on Saturday, I arrived back an hour later to find a very angry Mrs T declaring that the "bloody strimmer must be broken".......poor dear has been busily strimming the garden with no reel in the strimmer for over an hour

I feel compelled to add that she has a double first in modern languages from Oxford ( yes the Uni not the polly )

Her: How do they make them?

Me: What?

Her: Well, I don't understand how they make them...

Me: They're for putting in your wardrobe to stop them damaging your clothes...not made BY them

A-level chemistry class (many years ago, obviously) and a cold winter's day, so our Chemistry teacher had lit all the bunsen burners to heat the place up (yes, yes, Health and Safety would have a fit these days).

One of my peers was idly putting his metal pencil sharpener in and out of the flame. Rather than having a fit about someone not paying attention, our teacher started explaining how these pencil sharpeners were actually made of a magnesium alloy and asked this peer if he wanted to actually set fire to his pencil sharpener. When the lad said he did, the teacher got us all to gather round and put our saftey goggles on and he set the burner to full blue-flame and held the pencil sharpener in the hottest part. Soon it burst into flames and burnt with a brilliant magnesium flare light (if you haven't seen magnesium burn then it is cool!).

Anyway, the punchline to this long anecode is that after the pencil sharpener was reduced to a pile of ash with a blackened steel blade in it, the dopey lad asks "can I still use it, sir?"
