TV/Soundbar/4K player connections

Howdy all,

I currently have an LG C1 paired with a Sonos Beam Gen 2, the soundbar is connected to the TV via the HDMI-eArc connection. Am I best to connect the 4K player to the soundbar via HDMI-In, or to the TV? If I connect straight to the TV does it matter which HDMI socket is used?

Finally, are there any specific features I should be looking for with a 4K player? Besides Dolby Vision & HDR10+?
