Has anybody done this please? Is the 992 GTS wheel exactly the same as the Turbo S wheel apart from the finish? Thinking about doing it and just wanted to check if it was possible? Would it be easy to change back to OEM again if need be? Any recommendations for a company who could do this who would be familiar with the Turbo S finish I’m after? Any advice appreciated thank you

They look to be diamond cut. If they are, don't do it. You'll be better off getting them all silver, plus they'll look better.

Can I ask why you wouldn't go for the diamond cut please? Just appearance or another reason? I prefer this look than all silver.

Diamond cut is a pain to refinish is they get damaged in any way.

Diamond cut wheels will corrode, even if you don't hit anything.

Good question and a lot is down to personal taste……
Have done exactly that by replacing the existing original 911 GTS (991) alloys with a replacement set and having them diamond cut with a satin finish - super happy and can imagine the new look will trigger some opposing comments…..
…..(can swop out these wheels with the satin all black finish to retain its original heritage……)

It’s probably the only one like it…..

As mentioned, Turbo wheels are diamond cut and you'll probably find the 'chrome' part of the wheel is flat whereas the face of the spokes on the GTS wheels are more rounded. This is because they paint the whole Turbo S wheel on black then put the wheel on a lathe and remove some of the face of the spokes and rim revealing the alloy. They then apply lacquer which gives the finish you see in picture 2.

The issue you'll have when returning to stock is that you'll notice the flat face of the alloy. Also, the gloss black of the Turbo wheels is super soft and will scratch unless you have them ceramic coated and even then there is no guarantee they wont mark. If you find a reputable alloy wheel refurbishment centre, they shouldn't corrode.
