Trading in two cars for one?

Does anyone have any experience of this they’d be able to share please as typically I’ve always sold my own cars privately before purchasing new wheels. I had a search but this situation doesn’t seem too common these days with the increase in leased vehicles.

Just trying to understand if the dealers are likely to give a fair price on both or use the situation as some kind of bargaining chip (take one car, pass on the other etc).

We’re looking to drop down to one car and the BMW E70 X5 seems to tick most boxes, we’d be looking to part ex both our current BM’s - a E87 123D (08) & F11 520d (11) against one plus a some cash to get one with sensible mileage and a good spec example.

Any advice / expertise would be welcome, thanks in advance.

Get a wbac price for both and you know then what is your bottom line. Deduct this from your best carwow price and then you have a decent idea as to what is a fairly hassle free 'cost to change' and your baseline for a price from the dealer

Happens more often than you might think customer trading in more than one vehicle, and no you shouldn't get a worse deal for having two vehicles to trade in, as said do your own research so you have an idea on your own vehicles values so you can challenge any prices your given.

I did it a few years ago, swapped a 530d and a BMW K1200GT bike for a 330d, all within the same dealer group. I got a good price on both p/x’s and it made downsizing really easy. The only ball ache was 2 trips across the country.
