Hill Climb / Race Car - Lancia
Discussion
Does anyone have knowledge or experience of Hill Climbing or racing Lancias?
There is a Lancia Fulvia Berlina that looks good.
I have a race licence and understand hill-climb competition is a relatively cheap way to compete and enjoy racing.

That's a lovely little car, but the downside is that you'll probably find yourself in a class of one at most events. If not having a direct competitive element doesn't bother you, then fair enough. I'd be wary of the throwaway line near the end of the advert - 'Light modification shall be required to bring up to current race spec.' Could turn ito a world of pain, as everything on the car will be effectively a one off.
If it's just the competition you're after, there are cars which offer many more opportunities to find a good class, such as a Caterham, MX5, various hot hatches, or is it a Lancia thing??

Looks fun. For the majority of club level events, You’ll be in modified production up to 1400cc (possibly even 2000cc) unless you join a championship like Classic Marques who have a clever algorithm based on power, weight, tyres and something else which balances out your power deficit. Despite being road legal, all the mods ( lack of rear seats for example!) take it out of the standard production class so you’ll be up against fully modified non road legal cars. Far from being a class of one, it will be a good few cars and mostly fast minis and other A-series engined cars, 1400 k series and such like
The car won’t be competitive but if that’s not an issue just enjoy it.
if it has genuine FIA papers, and you have a race license, I’d just do the Equipe GTS series, big grids, good standard of driving, lots of track time
