Easiest TV operating system

I’ve always found the native Samsung smart system very simple and intuitive to use especially with the flashy small metal remote, minimal buttons/controls

The Samsung system is extremely easy imo.https://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-BN59-01300J-Genui...
Another vote for Samsung. Miles ahead of the laggy, buggy Android OS on Sony screens. One odd glitch ours has is that something causes it to retune from Freesat to generic satellite quite regularly. We don’t watch any live TV most of the time so no great shakes but might be annoying if you mostly watch Freesat.

I got a Panasonic for my old mum because the remote had big buttons and 'standard ' layout.
Do they want smart features? Or just basic Freeview?
Our elderly relative had panasonics.Do they want smart features? Or just basic Freeview?
A) She was used to them
B) We tended to double up on stuff, if they had the same as us it was easier to talk them through problems remotely.
