Has any one got any experience with farer watches? I’m liking the colours and fun but wondered if any one had any real world experience with them?

For example

Really catches my eye.

No experience of the exact watch but I’ve got a Farer Stanhope and I can’t fault it. Quality is very good for the price and so far reliable.

I've got six of them. Two quartz and four mechanical automatics, although no divers.
In my opinion they are excellent quality for the price.

I would say: buy with confidence.Gratuitous terrible photo below:

I don’t own one but handled their whole range more or less a few weeks a go. Didn’t see anything that would put me off.

Just taken delivery of the Leven Ocean, really pleased with it and very good service from them. I'm just deciding on the next piece it's going to be between the Thurso and the Charlton.

The brand seems a little different to what else is available, probably not an investment watch but nice to wear.

They seem to be pretty robust. I dropped mine onto a tiled bathroom floor and it fell heavily, I expected the worst when I picked it up, but the glass survived and it was still working, it took a hefty dent to the edge of the casing though. It now keeps excellent time, which it didn't do previously.

I have one of these and a Bernina chrono. They are more nicely finished than my Christopher Wards, cheaper, more interesting and better quality (two out of my three CWs have had movement issues).

I will buy another Farer. I am a fan of the brand. Their quick release leather straps are lovely quality too - I use them on other, more expensive watches in my collection!

Bernina on a Christopher Ward Tide strap. This really is one of my favourite watches - the engraved and coloured characters in the white ceramic bezel seem to glow. Frankly, it's a more interesting bezel than that on any other ceramic bezelled watch I own.

Their straps are so good that i use them on watches in a very different price band. Their rally strap as seen below is particularly fantastic - thick, lovely leather. I have bought all three colours; tan, green and blue. Recommended even if you don't t actually want a Farer watch. All are 20mm lug width straps.

Where would be the best place to sell one of these? Is there much demand on the likes of chrono24 does anyone know?

I have a Lander GMT with the Sunburst pink dial. It’s a lovely watch but I’m just not using it so think it’s best to move it on.

Try Kibble Watches, James does a lot of business with brands like Farer/Christopher Ward.

Also PH has a watches for sale thread which I have sold a few watches through (although many don’t seem aware of it so traffic is quite low).
