My neighbor just turned up with a new car. Never seen anything like it before, had to look it up on the Internet. Its an Apocalypse Hellfire (what a great name), and can be equipped with a 750bhp supercharged V8. What a totally bonkers machine, god bless America for creating something so insane!

UUrgh..that's just nasty; impressive? - yes, maybe - but overall it's just nasty. All of it, including the name.

Edited to add...

How old is your neighbour, is he still a teenager?

I'll take a Juggernaut with the Hellcat engine please. So obscene that it is fantastic.

I thought the inlaws' Suburban was big (I'm a Brit with an American wife) but an Apocalypse Juggernaut blows that out of the water.

As the world marches towards everything electric, this is the ultimate antithesis!

I do like that a Jetski package is an optional extra.

Dacia could learn something from these guys...

It's the ultimate in conspicuous consumption, I'll give you that. See also..

Bad taste
'Look at meeee'
Emotional insecurity
Compensating for the lack of something

But hey, I could be completely wrong - however that's what my first impression would be if I saw your neighbour driving it. wink

You know him, what's he like as a bloke?

With what I have read about HOAs in the US I bet they’ll love that pavement (sorry, sidewalk) overhang !

Actually don't know him, he lives one street over.. but this is Florida and it is full of nutcases, so your assumptions may not be off base!

I kind of love it and hate it. I love that it could be the ultimate go-anywhere machine but hate that it's been crippled with those wheels and low profile tyres... and likely overtly stiff suspension.

It does have a lot of LOOK AT ME about it. As someone who'd love a Unimog to take off-road, I guess I see that thing as "potential" when in reality it's clearly not intended for that purpose.

It looks hilarious.

I bet the owner is a proper moron though. If a car ever said anything about it's owner then this must be it and none of it is complementary.

It does make you wince when you realise our energy bills in the UK are higher to cover green initiatives, what's the point?

It doesn't fit on the drive and blocks the sidewalk! Where's the bad parking thread?!

I love old American cars and truck but stuff like this is just obscene. Less useful than the trucks they’re based on and a literal waste of space.
