Appreciate we’ve left it a bit late, but can anyone recommend accommodation options for Spa?
Ideally locations with public transport / organised transfer options.

Cheers.

Not the cheapest, but we've stayed with CampingF1 a few times and they've always been very well organised: https://www.campingf1.com/events/formula-1/belgian...

They do transport to/from the circuit every day.

Whatever you do, make the most of it as I read in Autosport that i's being dropped, along with the French GP in favour of another American race and one in South Africa. WTF? Ricard I can understand, but Spa?

Really???

That is shocking, Spa is possibly the best circuit we got.

Probably Liberty asking which circuit was the least enthused over last year...

We stayed in a B&B right on the edge of Maastrict and drove in for qualifying and the race. It's an hour each way and it's the quietest route into the circuit so no bother with traffic. You could get in closer, but the prices start drifting up that you end up paying a lot to save a bit of time on your day when you're not time pressured anyway.

It was called Wims or something, the room had an extensive porn collection and the breakfast was exceptional.

Don't suppose you have a link (my Googling isn't doing very well)? I was/am planning to go to Spa next year with my Dad and brother for my 40th!

Monschau. You’ll need a car but it’s a great little German town about 45 mins away

I wouldn’t do general admission. Total ste when I did it, far far too many people sold GA tickets

Liege is the most popular place to stay.
Transfers are available.

Discussed in this story frown

God I hope not. Yet more faceless street circuits are ruining F1 further.

The scandalous omissions from the calendar will soon outnumber the actual scheduled races. A lot of core F1 fans will lose interest very quickly if this happens, but then again I'm sure there's plenty of new money to buy those tickets.

I'll be one, no interest in places like Vegas if it means losing Spa, if F1 becomes a bunch of novelty destination races I'll probably give up on it.

For me, Spa, Monza and Monaco are F1s sacred cows.

To answer the OP, we stayed in Liege and went by train each day, takes a little while but worked well.

Camp. Ok you won’t sleep on Saturday night but there’s nothing like walking in at 7am to find 50,000 fans already in a Forrest having a liquid brekkie smile

Best track of the year IMO.
